Friends of the Pearl Avenue Branch Library
The Friends of the Pearl Avenue Library is a volunteer organization committed to support and supplement needed library resources. Friends advocate the importance of library services in the community, promote community programs for children, teens, and adults, and raise funds to achieve library goals. Donations of gently used and resalable books are accepted during library hours.
The new Pearl Avenue Library opened on August 9, 2008.

Pearl Avenue hosts a monthly book discussion group. We choose both fiction and non fiction titles. We meet the second Wednesday of the month from 6:30PM to 8PM near the fireplace. All ages are welcome, and you do not need to have finished the book to participate!
Currently reading Captive of the Labyrinth: Sarah L. Winchester, Heiress to the Rifle Fortune by Mary Jo Ignoffo. We will discuss this book on March 14th at 6:30 pm. Please come and join us!

San Jose All Friends
Members from Friends of the Library groups from the main King Library and the San Jose branch libraries work together as the San Jose All Friends to discuss our operations and to help one another in common goals. The San Jose All Friends web site includes book sale dates for various branches, upcoming meeting information, as well as helpful aids in becoming 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations.
